The Uniting Church in Australia was formed in 1977, and the box says (uncited, unfortunately) that he was a minister until 1979. If he ever ministered in a Uniting church, the box and article should say so. But since he was born in 1898, and I've only heard of him being called a Congregationalist minister, I'd say it is more likely that the retirement date in the box is wrong.
