Fair use rationale for File:Claro sphere.PNG

File:Claro sphere.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Images

These images all appear to be owned by the company, rather than having been released under the CC licence as the image pages suggest. If a user can supply proof that they are under these licences and thus can be used on wikipedia then I will undelete them (message me on my talk page) SGGH speak! 10:59, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Slogans section

I'm not sure about all of the claimed slogans in the different countries, but the ones cited as being used in Guatemala seems to me that were just copied from the Honduras and El Salvador slogan section. At least two of them have never been used in Guatemala. Makes me wonder if there are more inaccuracies regarding the other countries. Reno812 (talk) 22:05, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

There is no precedent for this kind of thing for company articles and it appears to be purely promotional. I am commencing cleanup immediately.--Soulparadox (talk) 15:07, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Cleanup

I have commenced cleanup of this article (it really needed it) and will be done during the next week or so; however, please feel free to contribute.--Soulparadox (talk) 07:30, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

With only four references, this article was a poorly written advertisement for Claro, so I have removed the offending content, and inserted templates and tags.--Soulparadox (talk) 15:54, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Merger proposal

This barely-verifiable company and its numerous spin-off articles seem to violate WP:NOTADVERTISING, and (if kept) should be merged into a single article. Miniapolis 22:17, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

The articles I feel should be merged (and redirected—they're all poorly-sourced stubs) to this one are:

I've merged three of the four articles; Claro Puerto Rico is better-sourced (and longer) than the other three. Miniapolis 17:03, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
