Académie Colarossi edit

Adding a note here re: Académie Colarossi, I was looking for information about this in the article when I came across this mention. Jooojay (talk) 04:13, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
"some sources state that Hinkle attended the Académie Colarossi in Paris, he never told either Arthur Millier or Henry Seldis that he did. There is only one source on the Internet that lists Hinkle as a notable graduate of the Académie Colarossi from the United States. However, its source is Wikipedia, and the current Wikipedia entry does not list Hinkle. According to art historian Phil Kovinick, the records for the Académie Colarossi were destroyed in a fire in the 1930s."[1]

User:Jooojay: Which sources and where would it be on Wikipedia? I did not add that information when I created the article earlier this month because I only add RS-backed content. However, he did study at the Académie Julian, and I've just added that. There seems to be too much about his training and not enough about his work now though. User:Zigzig20s you did a great job with article creation! This information about Hinkle was in the Académie Colarossi article in the past, it has since been removed and moved to the talk page. Hopefully editors will fill in more about his work as time goes on. If I get more time I will try too. Jooojay (talk) 17:11, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I dug deeper into this topic of Académie Colarossi - it appears there are many published books (that are reliable sources) that associate Hinkle with studying at Académie Colarossi,[1][2][3][4][5][6] however based on the dates of publish and the other source (listed above) it still seems questionable as a fact. Continuing the conversation on the talk page in case someone comes up with more information or sees fit to include it as a fact. Jooojay (talk) 05:33, 25 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
