Significant figures in civil-military relations

The list is preliminary and many do not have entries in Wikipedia. If you are interested in taking on one of those entries, please let us know. Also, if there are other who have or are making significant contributions to the field of civil-military relations, please add them. For example, there are many scholars who have been working on Latin American and Eastern European civmil who are not mentioned here. I think Zoltan Barany and Wendy Hunter might be two excellent candidates. Also, who are the non-US contributors?

Supporting materials

Regarding the above: What sorts of additional supporting materials would be appropriate for this subject? This is not strictly military history, but moves into political science and sociology as well. I would propose a new project...a civil-military relations project. Difficult question. Perhaps an image of ROTC cadets in the 'Convergence Theory' section, but other sections will need appropriate images too. Sorry if that is not helpful. Interesting topic, I studied this briefly in my masters degree. Seems like you have done a good job on it, but I am certainly no expert. Hmmm, images? This article has been peer reviewed in the civil-military community (but not within Wikipedia). It seems that such images would be gratuitous, at best, and not adding to the real import of knowledge. I am not convinced that this article is actually lacking anything. Still looking for advice on what sorts of "supporting" or "technical" details might be appropriate for this subject. I am inclined to drop this topic from the Military History group if I see no further assistance. This topic is more appropriate for politics or political theory. Globalize

Most of the examples and noted contributors to the CMR field are US based. As a field of political/military science, CMR has broad applicability across regions. The section on Afghanistan is a good start to globalize.
