Talk:City of York

Split of the district and city article edit

I have split these two articles because the two of them don't work together. Like the City of Doncaster and City of Wakefield articles. The York district covers an area bigger than the city but there were no mentions of the settlements in the city article. So with grounds and parishes among other things. The articles are in good stead of being split into two. Anyone who objects, please discuss here and on the other article talk page. DragonofBatley (talk) 20:27, 19 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good to me. Thank you for doing this hard work.
I am suggesting an update of the population figure for City of York. The 2021 census (preliminary dataset) gives the population as 202,800
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/populationandmigration/populationestimates/datasets/populationandhouseholdestimatesenglandandwalescensus2021
The population density is given as 746
I have not added this information because I'm not sure how it relates to your information about Rank. Do you feel able to deal with it?
