Inaccurate, misleading
editThis whole article is inaccurate and misleading. The City Hall is currently sited on College Road not Crown Square. The address of Crown Square referred to in this article is the *planned* site for the relocation of the headquarters of Galway City Council.
This is an important distinction. It also needs to be made clear that this proposed relocation is extremely controversial at a local level.
E.g.

http://www.advertiser.ie/galway/article/142277/concern-grows-at-75m-crown-site-fit-out-costs
https://connachttribune.ie/galway-city-councils-crown-square-buy-was-so-good-it-was-kept-quiet/
Etc.
One of the main trade unions at the Council, Fórsa, is in the process of taking the Council to the Workplace Relations Commission vis-a-vis the relocation.
In summary, no staff have yet moved to the purchased site at Crown Square, which is very controversial, so the Wiki should reflect that currently City Hall in Galway is on College Road, not Crown Square. 2001:BB6:B562:7D00:8054:8D57:D6BC:F0CA (talk) 20:42, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have added some material about the cost over-runs. The article already makes it clear that the fit-out of this building is not complete. Dormskirk (talk) 21:44, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
