Where is this going? edit

What is the intention behind the creation of this article? Is it expected to change? If so, what is anticipated? Thanks, Jakew 11:09, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jake, I began this page because the article on circumcision is overloaded. I would imagine it would change if and when the policies change, and if other policies come to light. Michael Glass 21:42, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
So - just to ask you to clarify - as things stand you don't expect to change this article? Jakew 22:13, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I may, but I don't have any immediate plans to change it. If you are concerned, why not put the article on your watch list. Michael Glass 23:42, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The article is already on my watchlist, Michael.
As it presently stands, it seems to be inappropriate content for a standalone article in an encyclopaedia, being closer to a scrapbook than anything else. It was, to some extent, justified as part of the main article, as it provided useful commentary to the reader, but on its own it seems to serve no purpose.
I am therefore trying to decide whether to a) nominate it for deletion now, or b) wait for (planned) changes to occur. Hence my questions. Jakew 10:10, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would rather see it restored to the article on circumcision than deleted. Any move to delete this article, I believe, is totally inappropriate. If it is retored to the original article I would raise no objections. I leave it to others to decide what would be better, an article that stands alone or being part of the general article on circumcision. Michael Glass 00:43, 1 March 2007 (UTC).Reply
