Cinderella edit
We should mention somewhere here about Cindy sometimes being short for Cinderella. Not only is there the play Cindy (musical) but a character in the recent BBC drama Sherwood (the 2022 TV series that I can’t link to directly, annoyingly) is called ‘Cinderella’ which gets shortened to Cindy. The only issue is finding real life examples of people called Cinderella who shorten it to Cindy. Also see ‘Cindy’ on Wiktionary, where Cinderella, the fictional character, has her name shortened to ‘Cindy’ in a book written in 1870. Overlordnat1 (talk) 08:56, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

- Thanks for bringing that to my attention but as soon as we find a reliable source claiming that someone called ‘Cinderella’ in real life is sometimes known as ‘Cindy’, which is inevitably true, we should add that fact. Now added Overlordnat1 (talk) 23:45, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
