Having the AHL commish at the renaming press conference is a positive sign and the only reason I honor the name with its own article. I don't want this to become a rumor board. As far as I'm concerned, this franchise is suspended until an affiliation deal with an NHL team is announced. NHL affiliation is a prerequisite to being an AHL team. Speculation is that the Columbus Blue Jackets-Syracuse Crunch deal is ending after this season and a prime factor in the contuniation of this franchise. That is at this time only speculation, and I'll revert mention of that without references. I hope to welcome the franchise back, but I'm weary of UHL-ish false starts. ccwaters 23:03, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
