Lists of organists edit

Hi,

The lists, currently in the article, of organists and assistant organists at Trinity are bordering on trivia, fall afoul of WP:NOT, and are only partially cited. Any entry in these lists for which it is not possible to find a cite should be deleted, and the rest should be evaluated based on notability (as in, is it independantly notable that that person held that position in this specific church). Whatever remains should be incorporated into the prose text of the section, along with information regarding why their holding this position was a notable fact relating to Holy Trinity, and the bulleted lists removed.
I'd take a stab at this myself, but to me these all (except John Cook (musician) who has his own Wikipedia article, which is a good first rule of thumb for evaluating notability in these cases) look non-notable; and thus I'd simply remove the lists entirely. As I know pretty much zilch about organ music and organists, I figure it's better to give those with some engagement in the subject a chance to sort it out first. Any takers? --Xover (talk) 16:55, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The list is confusing, the titles listed on the church's website are currently Director of Music, Organist and Junior Organist, not organist and assistant organist but the list may have been based on a different set of titles. Peter James (talk) 15:34, 25 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
Only ten years late, I'd agree. The list(s) are incomplete, largely uncited, and the majority of those listed aren't notable. I propose to remove them, and replace them with a short paragraph listing the notable ones. Any concerns/issues can be discussed here. KJP1 (talk) 07:56, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thomas Quiney (section Shakespeare) edit

This son-in-law of Shakespeare is stated to have done public penance in Holy Trinity Church, without citation. However, his wiki article which details the background and proceedings in more detail with citations, appears to indicate it was at Bishopton, whose church was a chapel and whose minister heard his case.
