Hi! I am interested to review this. Will get to this today. Sainsf <^>Talk all words 11:32, 19 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Lead edit

  • Should Australia be linked? response - I think of this as far too common a word to link and tend to not link in in geographic articles. both the state (Tasmania) and nearest large city (Launceston) are linked.
  • The town is in the Chudleigh Valley "is located" response - got to say no on this. The word located is redundant as "is in" and "is located in" have the same meaning.
  • Link timber, alluvial response done.
  • The fertile flats of the valley What are flats? Are they plains? response linked to the article on the subject now . Is this sufficient or do you think it needs clarification in this article ?
  • Lime is linked twice response fixed.
  • The Chudleigh show Can add a word on what it is. response reworded this and the subsequent sentence.
  • Since 1889 they have held Can say "the society" instead of "they" response changed in the above edit.
  • Interraction with European settlers, and the settlers deliberate actions, drove them from the lands and decimated their population There are errors in this line, could not understand this either. response chopped this line way back to start "European settlement and disease drove...." rather than the former.
  • named Chudleigh, probably , A rail line, from No comma response oops - fixed.
  • in 2001 the main comma response fixed.

History edit

  • Pallittorre aboriginal tribe "a" in caps in aboriginal - reponse - fixed
  • the later Church of England cemetery was established "Where the Church of England cemetery was established later"? reponse - fixed, your wording is better
  • had been bogs and wild bush I think it would be more proper to say "was covered with bogs and wild bush". reponse - fixed as above
  • What is a stock route? response - added a word and a link to Stock route in the sentence + a further sentence explaining what it was about.
  • Cattle may be too common to link response - unlinked
  • Who was Gardiner? - response a settler of no significance other that he is reputed to have named the town.
  • 850 acres in the area Convert template? - Reponse - fixed
  • By 1862 extensive and scenic caves Take care that this does not sound like overstatement response remove scenic and added a bit more. Sources of the time referred to them as scenic but I see what you mean.
  • two world wars. "W"s in upper case response fixed
  • Telegraph is linked twice response fixed
  • Duplinks in Religion: Church of England, Methodist response fixed
  • Duplinks in Railway: Deloraine, Burnie response fixed
  • Link Christian denominations response fixed
  • For some time after this the line remained in use transporting logs How about "However, the line continued to be used for transporting logs for some time after this"? response I've used your wording but dropped "however" as I try to avoid its use as the start of a sentence.

Town today edit

  • I wonder if Geography has anything to do with the present or past of the town. It could be made into an independent section. response - moved to before history as a main section.
  • "Present" could be a more proper name for this section response changed. I struggled with the name of this section.
  • Honey and rose look too common to be linked response - unlinked
  • Duplinks: Van Diemen's Land company, agricultural shows response - unlinked
  • agricultural shows, in 2015 I think this should be a semicolon not comma response you are correct - fixed.
  • Trowunna wildlife park Could use capital letters response fixed.
  • Is Mole Creek linked anywhere? response in both the lead and the infobox
  • the Gog and Magog No need to link Gog here response - unlinked
  • Link basalt. Why link grazing? response fixed. No idea why I linked grazing here.

Climate edit

  • Can we add some introductory words in this section?

Sources: Meander Valley Heritage Study, Stage 1: Thematic History Is this a report or a book? Can we have a URL or the ISBN? Same for Meander Valley Council : land capability survey & mapping consultancy report & maps response First is a report printed in book form. The state library has a scanned copy online that I've linked to. Note there is no ISBN. The second is a book (see here) that does not have an ISBN.

I think that is all. Good luck! Sainsf <^>Talk all words 19:06, 19 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Note : I think I will come here next only by 24th or 25th. Please continue working on the issues and updating the review page. Cheers! Sainsf <^>Talk all words 10:57, 20 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the review - I'll go through these points in the next day - Peripitus (Talk) 00:48, 25 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Peripitus: Thanks for the responses. I am satisfied with all of them. Did you miss the Climate section? Sainsf <^>Feel at home 09:59, 26 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Sainsf: Still trying on the climate section. I know that the area has an oceanic temperate climate but cannot find a reliable source to back this up. Will get something in there today I think - Peripitus (Talk) 20:55, 26 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Sainsf: Found some sources - what do you think of the climate intro ? Peripitus (Talk) 21:29, 26 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Peripitus: Thanks, it looks great! The article, in my opinion, meets all the GA criteria now. I am happy to promote this. Excellent job! Sainsf <^>Feel at home 04:35, 27 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
