Size and format edit

I prefer this format but if anyone thinks this page is too long, perhaps we could just summarize each decade and keep the internal links to the full article for each decade. We could also try deleting the individual year pages such as 1994 world oil market chronology (they're a little cumbersome).

Chronology of world oil market events edit

Just to let you know, I have been working extensively on wikifying these articles for quite a while now, with User:Charlie Huggard in his sandbox under the title Timeline of World Oil Market events. We (like you) have merged the articles into decades, and have wikified almost everything, except for 2002-2003. 2001 was actually a copy job of 2000, so I am in the process of editing out the irrelavant content and wikifing it. Perhaps since we are working on the same goal, we could coloborate, and as our project is much farther along than yours, it would save you some time. What do you think? You can find our wikified articles here. Thanks! Green451 22:40, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Several years of the chronology have appeared in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikify, so to avoid anyone, especially someone new like me, mistakenly tackling one, when you are already doing a great and consistent job on all the years, perhaps you could either remove the Wikify tag from those pages, or add a tag to say you are Wikifying as part of a larger project. If I'm being dumb, sorry - I'm new to this & just trying to help. Windymilla 23:04, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Duplication. edit

1989 world oil market chronology, 1980-1989 world oil market chronology#1989, and this page all have the same text - any objections to deleting the year and decade articles? -- Jeandré, 2007-06-24t21:17z

More than a decade later, but I am redirecting all of the individual year articles presently.Dialectric (talk) 22:17, 12 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
