Controversy
editNote that there is some scientific controversy about the actual occurrence of chromothripsis. Some scientists argue that what is described as a single event catastrophe is, in fact, not proven to be happening in a single event and is likely happening in a progressive manner. See: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/gcc.21981/abstract for example. 140.193.20.9 (talk) 15:24, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Very well, I will add a paragraph about the criticism on this topic. 140.193.20.9 (talk) 18:51, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
First observation section
editThe first observation section is currently incorrect. It is citing a paper published in 2012. But it was first observed by Stephens et al. in 2011. Alexbateman (talk) 11:16, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
