Citizenship edit

I do not think he is French and American. As his father was a UN diplomat, the fact that he was born in the US should not have granted him American citizenship. --WhiteEcho 15:36, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

That is correct, Lambert is all French. Children of foreign diplomatic officers are not subject to the jurisdiction of United States law so the they will not get US citizenship even if they are born there. Ferdinandhudson (talk) 18:55, 10 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Cite your sources on that, please. The 14th Amendment clearly states that anyone born in the USA or territories (like Puerto Rico, or US military bases), are citizens. It doesn't matter who or what your parents are or did. Born in the USA = citizen. I'll add something to this saying French-American unless someone can offer some compelling evidence to the contrary. • "A person born in the United States to a foreign diplomatic officer accredited to the United States is not subject to the jurisdiction of United States law. Therefore, that person cannot be considered a U.S. citizen at birth under the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution." [1]
  • [2] (Birth in the United States): "A child born on American soil automatically gets U.S. citizenship, unless the child is born to a foreign government official who is in the United States as a recognized diplomat."
  • [3] "Each of these principles is subject to certain restrictions. For example, children born in the US to foreign diplomats are not US citizens."
  • [4] (First paragraph)
  • [5] (under Definitions / United States citizen) Ferdinandhudson (talk) 19:00, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh, fair enough. Thus I learn something new. :) Wilybadger (talk) 23:32, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
While this is certainly right in general it does not verify whether or not Lambert has a the US citizenship. If I recall correctly from the bonus material on the Highlander DVD the director mentions that Lambert does have the US passport, and that this fact was crucial in convincing the producers to go for an unknown French actor. Although this is only second hand information, it might be worth checking. Robinandroid (talk) 22:19, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Polyglot edit

I know he also speaks italian in addition to French. Let me verify/research.--Jondel 01:43, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blade: Trinity edit

I have looked on the imdb Homepage there was nothing standing about Blade: Trinity, thus I have deleted it. --Veritémaster 14:00, 14th December 2006 (MET)

Vision edit

No mention of miopia? I always found it to be an interesting insight to his intense look.

I read from severeal sources that his vision is getting worse slowly and he would be completely blind soon. Any truth to it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.102.51.119 (talk) 04:39, 28 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

It says he can't wear contact lenses, but not why. 174.89.30.149 (talk) 22:57, 20 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Appearances edit

Article doesn't mention him appearing in Cirque Du Soleil's "Solstrom" 76.93.19.253 (talk) 02:47, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Munchausen edit

One review on Amazon claims that Lambert directed a few scenes of Terry Gilliam's The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. The film was shot during the second half of 1987, mostly in Italy and Spain, so doesn't this mean it was when Lambert was off on the set of Priceless beauty at the time? --77.185.89.97 (talk) 21:16, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Link for Day of Wrath film is incorrect edit

He was in a film called "Day of Wrath", but the link here is to another film of the same name. The link goes to a Wikipedia article about a Danish film about witch trials. The actual film has no Wikipedia article and is about the Spanish Inquisition.

Sorry I don't know how to fix this.

Sgoldkin (talk) 16:26, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Since there is no wiki article for the film starring Lambert I simply removed said link. Ferdinandhudson (talk) 16:44, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Official Site edit

The Official site mentioned in the Infobox is currently down. If it's not temporary, someone could remove the link at some point in the future. --82.170.113.123 (talk) 22:10, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is still down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wedinm (talkcontribs) 18:22, 21 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Still is, I'm removing the link from the article. --82.170.113.123 (talk) 19:16, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

French soldier edit

He's listed under Category:French soldiers, but I see nothing in the article that reflects this claim. Was he ever a French soldier? Blaylockjam10 (talk) 09:41, 7 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

He was in Highlander...184.155.130.147 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 07:43, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

2018 Update edit

Hi all I recently updated his biography. Saw a lot of complaint about projects missing from his bio, and I think I solved this problem. It still needs a lot of citations, but the article covers his career well. Some could add a little more about some of his films especially the Highlander sequels which I am unfamiliar with.Filmman3000 (talk) 21:29, 12 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Splitting proposal edit

I propose that sections Filmography be split into a separate page called Christopher Lambert filmography. This section is large enough to make its own page. Thank you.Filmman3000 (talk) 23:28, 28 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am not sure a separate page is needed - Lambert's credits are mainly in film (with only one video game credit), and I don't find the section too long and overwhelming (for now). Er nesto (talk) 09:27, 29 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I think the opposite. He's got plenty of TV credits they are just mixed with his Film credits.Filmman3000 (talk) 15:37, 29 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
