Shouldn't it be persona non grata? Insteaed of persona ingratissima? Bo-Lingua 01:46, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

There is a mangled reference at the end of the King of Norway section. Brianyoumans 22 Mar 2006

"Christian Frederick would have been more entitled..." edit

I removed the following quote from the text:

"Christian Frederick would have been more entitled even to the Swedish crown than current heir Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, being descended from Gustav I of Sweden through both his mother and his father."

I trimmed this piece of text below.

"Sweden refusing Christian's conditions, a short campaign ensued, in which the Norwegian army was easily defeated by the superior skill and forces of the Swedish crown prince Bernadotte. "

"More entitled"? This section of the text has no purpose. Why would a descendant of Gustav I of Sweden be more "entitled" to rule? This is a PoV-statement.

The second quote is too biased.. "easily defeated...superior skill and forces". The simple statement "..the Norwegian army was defeated by the forces of the Swedish crown prince" is enough. Fred26 07:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Monarchical Styles infobox edit

That infobox, besides looking like a gaudy winebottle ticket, doesn't have any practical use in the biography of a long-dead Danish monarch. Is it possible to remove it? Glatisant (talk) 09:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree. First of all it seems highly superflous to have such a box on any monarch living or dead, secondly it gets even more absurd when it is placed on non-English speaking monarchs that would not even had used the examples shown in the box. I am going to delete it from the article. --Saddhiyama (talk) 10:07, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Memorialized in music... edit

He was the dedicatee of Niels Gade's hour-long cantata "Comala", Op.12 published in 1847 (in vocal score- not, I think, published in full score until rather later, but the dedication is there in the IMSLP-uploaded vocal score) and several other works of music. :) (The best-known work dedicated to him may be Liszt's Reminiscences of Don Juan.)
