Image replacement edit

Just about sufficiently better to merit replacement; but a marginal call. Sarah777 (talk) 22:49, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sitric Silkenbeard edit

According to the article, The cathedral was begun in 1038 by King Sitric Silkenbeard, the Danish Viking King of Dublin, but the article on Sitric says he died in 1036. (He was followed by Echmarcach mac Ragnaill, whose first reign was from 1036-1038.) A quick check shows this article gives a date of establishment in the 1030s, with the earliest Account Roll dating from 1037-46. This link gives 1038 as the founding date. It could be that the order was given by the king before he died and the process continued after his death, but it's a little puzzle. Granted, it may be something that is open to several answers (depending on the definition of "founded") and records may not be exact. Autarch (talk) 19:38, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
