This will have to be reviewed by another editor (not the creator or main contributors) in order to meet notability WP:GNG from secondary sources independent of the subject. Why move to draft? Chris is an actor in his own right. Most that shows up in the news are related to his voice-over work. Other anime talent like Kira Buckland don't receive the same treatment.

@PeanutButterMarshmallowTime:: Please review Wikipedia's guidelines on Notability. To be in an encyclopedia, subjects should have significant coverage in reliable, third-party sources. Self-published or user-generated sites are not reliable, and mere listing of a name in a directory or cast list is not significant coverage. Without high quality sources, it is difficult to create an article that doesn't resemble an overblown resume. We care less about what Niosi has done, and more about how he is perceived at large. If this person's accomplishments have not received sufficient attention beyond blogs, then he is not yet suitable for inclusion. --Animalparty! (talk) 19:35, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... Many of the paragraphs were identical to it's previous written versions because the majority of those information talked about his roles in the projects he was involved in. I omitted the majority of the information in the Animation portion as many of it's facts were irrelevalt. I figured to keep to the point that he made parody-based content in his early days, and went on to focus on more professional approaches in animation; similar to Arin Hanson's article on his Newground days. However unlike Hanson, I didn't include much information. I also found a magazine that details Chris' life work and history, as well as explain his work with Eduware showing proof that he indeed worked for the company. I also added several roles Chris has recently played so it could be more current. Also, since Chris has made a Kickstarter and it has received some attention, I figure to place it. Seeing as TOME was a personal project for Chris, I made a short explanation of what it was on Chris' page as it wasn't sufficient enough to have a page of it's own. I also discover links that show proof of Chris' involvement in VO in some projects like Octopath Traveler, Godzilla and Mob Psycho; none of which are wikis or pages made by him or fans of his work. Chris is a great artist and I just wanted to showcase his work in here like other anime artists such as Brittney Lauda and Xander Mobus, without making it look too trivial. --PeanutButterMarshmallowTime (talk) 16:40, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

He recently did an interview with Anime NYC, alongside Kyle McCarley, which details his experience working on the show as well as his own past inspirations that led him to prepare to play the character. I'm just trying to do my part. After all; if Brittany Lauda and Xander Mobus can be here, so should Chris. He may not be world famous but he has done a lot of work on the internet and TV and should get some recognition and an honor for it. Not to mention that it took me a while to contact him for permission to use his headshot for the article as well as the logo for the game.

I would not claim notability because of Lauda or Mobus's articles WP:OSE. I would continue to dig up more secondary sources independent of the subject, something besides interviews unless it's clear the interviewer did a bunch of research beforehand as with Wikipedia:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga/Biography#Referencing_a_biography examples. That 'apology' message wasn't what cause the controversy. It was someone else who called him out for it.

You've got a lot of nerve criticizing how this article "has bad sources" considering that you can't even sign your own posts properly. Also, it's NOTABILITY guidelines, not objectivity. It's clear that you are unfamilarized with any of those guidelines. In any case, you have no valid points to speak of, so how about you just stop before you embarrass yourself even more?

PS: You also have no evidence that Niosi was the one that wrote the article himself. This is all mere speculation, and if you ask me, it's piss poor guesswork. Sk8erPrince (talk) 09:06, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

"flavor" of abuse

in the article, it states that: "he had been emotionally abusing colleagues, family and partners for over a decade"

but cited reference #21 reads: "Nintendo Replaces Fire Emblem Three Houses Protagonist Voice Actor Amid Sexual Assault Allegations", and links to an eponymous article in game informer.

my problem here is that i feel like relatively, "sexual" and "emotional" abuse hold different amounts of 'weight'.

if you are one of the victims of his sexual abuse, how do you feel when you see that "sexual abuse" isnt even mentioned?

similarly, or perhaps conversely, if you are niosi, how do you feel when an allegation of emotional abuse is misrepresented as having been something sexual.

i know its just my opinion that sexual and emotional abuse hold different amounts of weight. i also know opinions dont really matter here, but i think any sane person would agree with this specific opinion. which begs the question: should an opinion matter when everybody probably has the same opinion?

in case my objective still isnt clear, i feel like since there is a cited reference linking to an article that clearly contains "sexual abuse" in its title, then something needs to be added to the body of the article that points this out.

otherwise, unless they arent lazy and they actually look into the cited references (and honestly, what are the chances of that happening?), nobody will know that sexual abuse was even a problem. the victims of his sexual abuses will have grounds to (and probably will) complain that theyre being misrepresented or something fun like that.

Upcoming animated feature film debut

Recently, Niosi had revealed that he is currently writing a script for an animated feature film called "Balancing Act" focusing on 4 part time superheroes with elemental powers and severe trauma. Should this be added?
