  • Of his job with Jay Ward Productions, he told the Los Angeles Times in 1988, "The pay was low and the insecurity great. Jay felt the writers should pay him. His theory was 'Never show a profit or else you'll have to pay people."
  • the only real compensation in working for JWP was the joy of writing delicously bad puns for the masses.
