Chris' wife and personal life - section

So as you all know, Chris got married last year to his wife Kristin Taylor and they had a son this year. He talked about it on the podcast for an example.

Pictures of them can be seen on her instagram and they have been seen to movie premieres such at the "Sicario" screening.

I think the reason is that we "all" don't know? As with all BLP's, if there is no reference it cannot be included. The article does not state that he is still married to Montague, and in fact states in two locations that he is divorced. Primefac (talk) 14:48, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

WP:RELTIME

For example instead of "Recently, he starred as Henderson in the Netflix thriller series You." the article should read something like "In 2018, he was cast in the Netflix thriller series You." or "In 2019 he starred as Henderson in the Netflix thriller series You."

Writing for an encyclopedia is different than writing for other sources, that is why it is important to avoid vague time words, again please read WP:RELTIME and fix the article because it is currently locked preventing me from fixing this obvious error. -- 109.78.196.233 (talk) 18:36, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

It is a minor problem that happens frequently in Wikipedia. It not quite as bad as editors using the word "however" for no reason but it is pretty bad.

This article seems pretty good otherwise, although personally (and because this is supposed to be an encyclopedia) I'd avoid the unnecessary abbreviation and instead of "improv" I would write "improvisation". -- 109.76.200.15 (talk) 03:52, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

This is only partially true. His last special, No Pain, was directed by his brother, Matt D'Elia.

On using video as a source, it is discouraged by some and it's probably due to the facts that videos archiving is abysmal; it is faster to parse through text than video; not everyone has Netflix; the video might be geographically locked. On IMDB, it is explicitly a no-no to use IMDb on wikipedia as a reference (except for an exception which does not seem to apply here), see WP:ELP for details. – robertsky (talk) 03:11, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Ok, that all makes sense. I should not have cited IMDb. One more thing: in the sentence I'm trying to change ("All four were directed by his father."), it has 2 references -- 1 and 13. Reference 13 is a video which, as you say, is discouraged. Reference 1 I'm assuming is referring to the part in the article which says, quoting D'Elia, "He’s directed my last three stand-up specials." Three, not four. Allegations

"This led to the exchange of more than 100 sexually explicit photos and videos via Snapchat in a period of six or seven months in 2014 and 2015, half of which were of the woman while she was 17 years old." I believe the wording of this needs to be changed. It makes it seem that he did in fact do these things when here it says, "Comedian Chris D’Elia is facing a new lawsuit that accuses him of violating federal child pornography and child sexual exploitation laws, including soliciting more than 100 sexually explicit photos and videos from a woman identified as 'Jane Doe.'" here.
