Synonyms edit

I removed the following list of synonyms from the taxobox.

| synonyms = Auricularia persistens
Corticium nyssae
Phylacteria micheneri
Stereum ardoisiacum
Stereum argentinum
Stereum atrozonatum
Stereum lilacinum var. vorticosum
Stereum micheneri
Stereum nipponicum
Stereum pergameneum
Stereum purpureum
Stereum rugosiusculum
Stereum vorticosum
Terana nyssae
Thelephora purpurea

I think these are mostly too obscure to be worth mentioning in Wikipedia. If you think differently you can easily put them back. Strobilomyces 21:53, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Silver leaf (disambiguation) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RFC bot 23:00, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Spore Size edit

The descriptions listed on the species page at Mycobank give spore sizes of 5-8 x 2.5-3.5um which is noticably thinner than the 5-8 x 3-4um given here.--TristramBrelstaff (talk) 17:15, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Phillips reference gives 5-8 × 2.5-3µm. The Bon reference gives 8 × 3µm. [Régis Courtecuisse (1999). Collins Guide to the Mushrooms of Britain and Europe. London: HarperCollins. ISBN 0-00-220012-0.] gives 5-10 × 2.5-4µm. [Geoffrey Kibby (1992). The Illustrated Guide to Mushrooms and other Fungi of Britain and Northern Europe. London: Parkgate Books Ltd. ISBN 1-85585-356-6.] gives 5-8 × 2-3.5µm. This agrees fairly well with your Mycobank values. You should feel free to change it if you want (giving your reference).
