just wanting reasons to be listed as to why cultures cannot be made from feaces? The article states that it can't be done. Why?
Also, there are spelling mistakes in the article.

Answer: Agar plates are used to determine a type of bacteria. Faeces contain many, many types of bacteria. Hence, using an agar plate which will allow many different bacteria to grow will not be helpful in finding a particular bacteria (e.g. what is causing someone's diarrhoea etc.) I'm not too sure if this is worth putting in the article. A bit more explanation: Obviously faeces can be cultured, but they contain so many different types of bacteria (many of which rarely cause any harm) that it is often not practical to culture in a pathology situation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by M0rt (talk • contribs) 06:56, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
