When PC clouds the mind... edit

I changed the line "While walking, she is picked up by William J. Park (Emmet Judson Williamson), an African-American man who is driving to Limbe with his son" to "While walking, she is picked up by William J. Park (Emmet Judson Williamson), an African man who is driving to Limbe with his son."

Black people in Africa are not "African-American", obviously.

The term "black", also, is not a perjorative if used correctly. "Black African" would be appropriate. Of course, if the spirit moves you... I suppose you could use the term "Native African," also.  ;-)

I think you will find that the man who picks her up is originally from America, he comments on his arrival in africa, approaching the guards as 'brothers', that once he was in Africa he felt like he had come home. Thus the title 'African-American' would be correct Flower86 (talk) 21:25, 2 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh, yes, PC clouding the mind! It's very clearly states that he's from America - it's a fairly clear part of the movie, not just some passing comment. I think this is a case of political correctness clouding your mind, heh. --202.134.251.206 (talk) 13:14, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
