Photoheterotrophy is mistermed in this article as saying Chloroflexi use "a different method of photosynthesis." Photosynthesis implies photoautotroph (carbon fixation), whereas photoheterotrophy does not have any carbon fixation, but rather supplementation of metabolism by photon induced H+ pumps.--Jonthecheet (talk) 06:39, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am not just randomly taking credit. This is my issue, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Microbiology --Jonthecheet (talk) 06:39, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ktedonobacteria

edit

The sister candidate phyla Ktedonobacteria was recently made a class in Chloroflexi (Yabe, S.; Aiba, Y.; Sakai, Y.; Hazaka, M.; Yokota, A. (2009). "Thermosporothrix hazakensis gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from compost, description of Thermosporotrichaceae fam. Nov. Within the class Ktedonobacteria Cavaletti et al. 2007 and emended description of the class Ktedonobacteria". International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology. 60 (8): 1794. doi:10.1099/ijs.0.018069-0.), so the taxonomy section needs improving. --Squidonius (talk) 00:03, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

sorted. --Squidonius (talk) 03:17, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I just noticed I have made a mess of things: unlike other pages where class and phylum with the same name are in the same page here they are not... I will have to revert my edits. --Squidonius (talk) 04:26, 1 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
