Widely acknowledged and officially broadcasted lists edit

69-Rene-69: Thanks for @Citobun's comment, but I did clarify my reason with evidence for editing each time. Thus I'm confident with the info I protected. So far Yicai released the city tier system report each year based on transparent research system and it's widely acknowledged, officially broadcasted and highly cited by major media in China each year. For the evidence example which shows the official media CCTV's acknowledge and broadcast in the link.[1]

I've noticed that you've had "edit wars" on this part with other editors before but never showed any concrete evidence for deleting Yicai ranking since long ago. I'm happy to discuss if you could provide your evidence for deleting, otherwise please don't do that based on some subjective idea. Many thanks.

Unofficial lists edit

This article has become a magnet for spam-type publications to advertise their own rankings of Chinese cities. "Yicai Global" was once a prolific Wikipedia spammer, having added a huge number of WP:CITESPAM links to guide traffic to their website. The ranking here appears to have been added by a COI account with the same promotional intent, so I have removed it. Citobun (talk) 10:38, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@69-Rene-69: continues to re-add this content without addressing the concerns outlined on this talk page. A prolific sock farm previously spammed Yicai Global across Wikipedia and this seems to be yet another example. Yicai Global itself is not a reliable source and its own article has been repeatedly deleted as not meeting our notability criteria. Lastly, the tone of the content under discussion is promotional and inappropriate for an encyclopedia (e.g. the spammy external link directing users to the Yicai Global website). Vigox edit

@Vigox: Thank you for maintaining this useful article, but you need to stop editing as if you "own" it. Could you explain why unlike in the vast majority of articles, English names are insufficient to differentiate here, and which cities need to be identified by the Chinese name? Chinese names edit

What is the reasoning/consensus behind adding the Chinese character names in this article, if any? And if we are to keep them I think we should have the name in brackets directly after the name as opposed to a separate list as that is not the most readable representation.
