This page really ought to be merged with Chines as they are defining 2 different meanings of the same word. Liam Proven 17:17, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Just to add to the issue, I've created a chine (boating) page with info on boat chines. I think this page should be turned into a disambiguation page, and the geographical sense moved to its own article. Chines can go away, as the boating article has made it redundant. scot 20:58, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Merge with Chines and Disambiguation

I have created a Chine (disambiguation), and the page Chines now redirects here. If prefered, this page can become the disambig and the article about the valley moved to Chine (Valley) or similar. CheekyMonkey 21:36, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Anglocentric

This article seems a bit Anglocentric. I know there are chines in other parts of the world. I came to this article from the mention of "chine" in the article on Nicholas of Flue. I think a representative mention of chines in other parts of the world should be included. Caeruleancentaur (talk) 12:37, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Distinguish from similar geological formations

I recommend explaining how chines differ from canyons, gorges, etc., or, if they do not, then listing these words as synonyms. Thomas.Hedden (talk) 03:02, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
