Note about the Chili's Baby Back Ribs song -- I personally know the woman who sang on the original song in Tom Faulkner's studio. Despite being in such a high-profile commercial, she was never able to capitalize on this. She lives in Dallas today with her two sons, and still receives residuals whenever the original commercial song is played.(2006)01:53, 10 June 2006 70.251.112.27
Franchise
Is Chili's a franchise? Early in the article it seems to suggest that all Chili's are owned by Brinker's International. I work as a supply manager in the foodservice industry and in my dealings with Chili's, every single one has been owned by Brinker's International. 204.69.40.13 14:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

When did Chili's actually start serving Chili? We asked our location in Orlando, Florida a few years ago and they said Chili's didn't serve chili. Last night we went there, and there was chili on the menu with NEW! next to it.. I ate at the very first Chili's on its first day. It was about 2 miles south of my house, and the owner greeted us and said we were customer number's 23, 24 and 25. He recommended the Chili's Trip, a chili cheeseburger. That was in 1982, not 1975, as the history states. The reason he started Chili's was he was fired from his job as restaurant manager at Howard Johnson's in Arlington, TX. His ideas for changing the restaurant's menu were too radical for the old chain. And, BTW, that first Chili's closed its doors a few months back. History
To clarify my edit of "countries" to "international locations", the U.K. and Australia are considered to be sovereign states and continents, respectively. Carface 08:07, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Store closings
A note about store and franchise closings: they do not go in the main article itself as these are not about the restaurant known as Chili's, but its franchises. These are separate business operations, unrelated to the chain itself; this can be noted in the Global operations sections under countries formerly with Chili's locations. --Jeremy (blah blah • I did it!) 06:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Brinker and Macaroni Grill

There is still some residual connection between the brands though, currently to date, gift cards from Macaroni grill will still work in Brinker restaurants, and vice versa Kulsu (talk) 00:21, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
