Copy revisions edit

  • Out dubbed DeVayne's performance of the number one of the series' best lip syncs. — maybe reword, at least that first "of" has to go
      Done.
  • Two days later, he posted an update on social media, saying: — change out colon to a comma
      Done.
  • Davenport was openly gay — I get this doesn't fit into any other sections in the article, but this fact seems rather lonely out there as it stands right now
Restructured the Personal life section to make that sentence less lonely.
  • Many fellow Drag Race contestants... — this inventory of tributes (the corresponding source for which is essentially an inventory of tweets) seems excessive and could probably be trimmed down
Fair enough; I'll wait to see how Another Believer wants to handle this before making a change.
I can see where you're coming from, but how do we select which names to display? In this context, none of the queens are more important than others. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:03, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Layout edit

  • Consider using a reduced width for the quote boxes, particularly the first one, which on my screen leaves an orphan line in the layout that is further left than the others.
Just to clarify: the first quote box is at 25% width, while the second is 33%. What width would you recommend for them? I tend to think anything thinner than 25% can make the lines of text inside the box quite choppy. On second thought, 20% for the first one wasn't so bad. I've changed the second one to 25%.

Other notes edit

  • Article is consistent in pronoun usage for Davenport vs. DeVayne and has no errors of this type.
  • The Variety article comes in at 42.2% similarity, but it consists of show and work titles (e.g. "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars") and several quotes used in the article.
  • Both freely licensed images are properly tagged and suitable for article use.

Summary edit

@Another Believer and Armadillopteryx: 7-day hold to address the minor copy revisions and try out some quote box changes. Almost there. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 08:12, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Sammi Brie: Thank you for taking on this review! I've addressed some of your points above and will wait for the input of my co-nominator for the rest. Armadillopteryx 11:09, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Sammi Brie, Yes, thanks! I think we just need a suggestion for how to trim the list of names. Much appreciated, ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:04, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Another Believer and Armadillopteryx: Thanks for addressing the other issues. So the primary issue is that there are no criteria to select anyone who is more important from among the listed drag queens? Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 18:26, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Sammi Brie, Yeah, I mean I don't want to overthink this, but how do we decide who to mention or not? They are all fellow contestants within the Drag Race franchise and they are all notable. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:27, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
That's fair, and while it was a concern I had coming on this topic area from the outside, I also hear you as the topic area experts. If that list can't be trimmed in a straightforward fashion, I'm still going to pass the GA (as all the other issues had been resolved). Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 18:53, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
