Hello fellow Wikipedians! I have recently added new information to the Chevert Expedition of 1875 article and it would be very helpful if anyone could look over it and provide some advice so I can improve it. Thank you Jrom5498 (talk) 14:56, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

One way to make better edits in future would be to look at what changes other editors have made and learn from those changes. If the edit summary mentions a link to a Wikipedia policy or style guideline ("WP:something" or "MOS:something", eg MOS:BOLD) click the link, which will probably give the reason for the change. If you don't understand why a specific change was made, ask. Be sure to include a link to the diff so we know exactly which edit you're talking about. (In general, clicking "prev" on the article history page will show you the edit, and you can copy/paste the URL into your post. Eg here's my most recent edit to that page: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chevert_Expedition_of_1875&diff=1025236304&oldid=1025236207.)

I don't think the current article name "Chevert Expedition of 1875" conforms with WP:TITLE. IMO it should be Chevert expedition. Then that headword ought to the bolded in the 1st sentence: "The Chevert expedition was …". Repeated citations to the same source, e.g. Fulton & Bialek 2015, Macleay 1875, should be simplified using shortened footnotes/short citations. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 01:56, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
I agree with the shorter title (including lower case "expedition"). There's nothing to suggest that there were any other Chevert expeditions.
Hi, I just wanted to ask, is an infobox appropriate/well suited for this particular article? Jrom5498 (talk) 04:59, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
