Notability, sources

edit

It is currently unclear whether this person is notable enough for an article on Wikipedia, since no secondary sources are cited. By the notability criteria for biographies, independent reliable sources are required to make sure that the subject is notable. These sources might be, for example, significant press coverage about the person (about him, not about his employer or organization), or an independent biography. It may well be possible that such sources exist. However, currently no such sources are cited in the article. Please add such sources to establish notability.

At the moment, the article cites a source that shows he wrote contributions for Encyclopedia Brittanica (as far as I understand it); but what would be needed are sources that write about him.

For the time being, I am replacing the “importance” tag with “notability”. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 12:41, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
