Talk:Chemical oxygen iodine laser

Who would dare to use these?

edit

Isn't the main ingredient "hydrogen" peroxide super dangerous due to corrosive burns and fires? The nazis experimented with air independent, HP-powered submarines (Walter turbine) but the USN refused that tech in 1946, claiming even primitive nuclear reactor propulsion was safer from a fire and explosion perspective! 87.97.96.127 (talk) 19:22, 31 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

What fixed and consumable mass needed per kw of laser power

edit

The Boeing YAL-1 article implies 55kg/kw, but is this with or without consumables ? A COIL module is "SUV sized" - can we clarify what this includes ? (6 COIL modules on the test aircraft) - Rod57 (talk) 09:11, 19 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
