TV Special
I don't feel like adding it, myself, but I read in multiple news articles today that a TV special will air along side the release of the album. That should really be added somewhere. --LurganShmith (talk) 00:36, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
- The article will get a revamp and it should be added under a promotion section. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 07:18, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Inclusion of contradicting information from early interviews: discussion
I would need to find the article again to use as a reference, but in a very early interview (2012/2013) Bennett stated that Gaga called him with the idea of the album. He said something to the effect of "When Lady Gaga calls you up about doing a record together; you do it." It wasn't until Artpop was negatively received that this idea of Bennett initiating the album was introduced. It can pretty well be assumed that it's a marketing scheme to make this a "Tony Bennett album with Lady Gaga" instead of the originally intended "Lady Gaga album with Tony Bennett" to avoid reports of another Gaga flop. Now obviously we can't formally make that accusation in a Wikipedia article, but early interviews that state this difference in album direction should still be included, letting the reader come to their own conclusion of facts, or simply stating that the album had a change in direction over the lengthy production period. I mean, you can't just completely ignore these early interviews because it contradicts the current album direction.
This also applies to at least a brief mentioning of the track "Paradise" that Bennett directly confirmed as a, then, possible song for inclusion of the album. Though Gaga later opted not to use the song, much to Bennett's dismay, it should still briefly be mentioned in the article as a confirmed outtake.
I'm not telling anyone to make these edits for me, I'm simply asking for other editors opinions on how this information should be included in the article to avoid edit wars, and scandal, and brake what seems to be relatively friendly editor relations on this article. I'd appreciate anyone's opinions on the matter, particularly the few editors who have made the most contributions to the article in the recent months. Thank you. --LurganShmith (talk) 22:39, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
- Before anything else, list here sources that say it was Gaga's idea and sources that say it was Tony's idea. Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:10, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- I actually was just about to reply to my own post by saying I can no longer find the two early interviews I've been basing that from. There have been so many articles about the album in the past month that all the google search results are crowded with the new articles. What few I can find from 2012 aren't the ones I've been referring to. So due to my inability to find these two year old articles, I'm no longer trying to add that information... unless I find the information later on and at that time it's inclusion can be discussed. However, I can cite "Paradise" from the article's edit history and I can handle adding a cited sentence or two mentioning it and why it wasn't used, myself. I'll do that soon. Sorry for the confusion/bother, and thank you for replying. --LurganShmith (talk) 04:04, 23 August 2014 (UTC)

Slant Magazine Review
Alexa Camp's review from Slant Magazine should not be considered legitimate and should be removed from the critical reception section. A large portion of the review focuses on Gaga's career and attacks her as an individual, rather than reviewing the actual composition and quality of the album. The little critique in the review is baseless and sheds light on her lack of knowledge concerning jazz music. A quick skim of Camp's past articles shows her bias against Lady Gaga. Her "review" should not be included. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lltnt342 (talk • contribs) 02:08, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- Slant Magazine is recognized as a reliable source per WP:ALBUM/SOURCES, being negative towards an artist does not affect that. Snuggums (talk / edits) 02:48, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- Just keeping a note here, this is the same user who has been posting vile messages in slantmagazine.com regarding the review and threatening Alexa Camp. In no way I'm even considering such atrocity. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:03, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- Huh? If you are referring to me, I have left no comments whatsoever on the article. I just read it and felt as though it was unfair and hateful. However if Slant Magazine is recognized as reliable I understand that. I would never threaten someone over an album review, thats just ridiculous. Lltnt342 (talk) 14:15, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Physical Deluxe Edition Tracklist
The international tracklist of the physical deluxe edition is not included in this wiki page. It has 18 tracks, as it can be seen in pictures throughout the internet or on Amazon websites:

Someone should include this version in the Tracklist section.

Deluxe Cover
I have a question, Why there is not the album cover of the deluxe version? All articles I go there is just the standard? Can't we upload it? Raulkul (talk) 02:16, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- For some reason, deluxe covers are generally not used. Snuggums (talk / edits) 02:18, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Raulkul: when standard and deluxe edition album covers are remarkably same with minute differences, they are not uploaded since the standard is enough to portray the image. For some releases, the standard and deluxe are significantly different and is the subject of discussion within the article. Take for example The Fame Monster, Lady Gaga's 2009 EP, which has both images listed. In this case it passes the WP:NFCC#3a clause of Wikipedia and is allowed. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 07:41, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the answer :) Raulkul (talk) 17:23, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
Tour??
Does this press release confirm the Cheek to Cheek tour? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:45, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- I think so, and Lady Gaga has already said she and Bennett will be on tour next year. Maybe we could create an article about Cheek To Cheek Tour, but let's wait until the official name comes out. Raulkul (talk) 17:25, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
"Firefly" Wikipedia article
Has anyone looked into whether or not there should be a Wikipedia article for the song "Firefly"? It is the only song on the album without an existing article. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:56, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
- Haven't searched it, so I wouldn't create anything for that just yet. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:23, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Starbucks cover art
Is the unique Starbucks cover art worth adding to the infobox? It is substantially different than the standard version. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:08, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- Single retailer, being sold only in one outlet, no widespread sales. Ergo, NFCC#3a, 8 fail. So my logic says no. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 19:11, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- Understandable why one would include it, but NFCC can be a bitch. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:16, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

I just wanted to recommend the track(s) listed as: Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down), the writer listed as BONO, be edited to read SONNY BONO to avoid any confusion over the original songwriter.
Millertek (talk) 05:30, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
- Not done, Its already listed as Sonny Bono. For later instances we use just the surname. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:40, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
