External links/"list of chateaux" section

Hello! I took out the chateau list on Chateau DIY as we do not generally provide external links in the body of the article, per WP:EL. It is also getting quite trivial when a list of owner names is added without sources. There was a suggestion that we keep the list of chateaux and owners, but I cannot see any independent sources that support a list in the article. The problem to me is also that he list looks like an advertisement, as these chateaux are mostly businesses. Does anyone really need an index of the names of the chateau owners, and when they appeared in the series? The entire article only has two weak non-primary sources. It needs to go in the direction of being sourced more extensively. --- Possibly ☎ 15:41, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Agree that the inline extlinks should be removed (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Escape_to_the_Chateau_DIY&oldid=1048814705#Ch%C3%A2teaux_featured) but the chateaux featured in the series should be kept in some form as they are the major point. Suggest removing the inline extlinks and marking section as refimprove etc to give chance to editors to improve, rather than delete whole section. --Mervyn (talk) 17:17, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Can't say I agree... the article needs a trim as it is largely unsourced. For example, the episode descriptions contain a lot of copyvio (see below) that will no doubt be removed shortly. Let's see what others think. --- Possibly ☎ 17:51, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Please put the list back. It is very useful. Agree it should not be an advert so replace the external links with links to the Wikipedia articles on the histories of the specific chateaux (or lack thereof). Also suggest dropping the column with the owners' names for privacy reasons and to minimize updates/simplify maintenance.-- ShopTherapy (talk) 13:06, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

Copyvio
