Personal experiences

edit
What's your reason for removing these links? I've reinserted them. While they are personal experiences, they are relevant and notable. peterl 10:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
This heading Personal experiences is rather odd - it's stuck at the end of the articles AFTER the refs etc. If they are relevant and notable it needs to be made clear why and then all of this included in the main part of the article not where it is now.Sterry2607 (talk) 04:55, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notable Patients

edit
  1. They're ALL dead? Surely there are some 'notable' patients that survived? Looks a bit unbalanced, and as Dr Teo is still practicising this needs to be fixed. It appears to give a bad impression of him.
  2. Should also say WHY the patients are noteable ie. Zemanek was a controversial talkback radio host. Chris O'Brien AO was himself a well known oncologist, Professor, surgeon and reality show character RPA (TV series) who died of a brain tumour etc.

1. Inevitably, Teo will acquire more notable patients, and their names may be added to the article. If you find any notable patients that have not been mentioned in this article, you are always welcome to add them.
2. While notable patient's outcomes are relevant to the article, the professions of those patients is less so. Any who are interested can easily click the relevant links. --Lovepush (talk) 12:29, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

"False hope" suggestions

edit

Perhaps it would add to the article to elaborate upon Charles Teo's response to suggestions that he offers "false hope" to his patients. At the moment it seems to be quite unfair to throw around the idle suggestions without relating the context.Ninahexan (talk) 03:59, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not sure if this is relevant to anything, but I understand that he is considered pretty controversial by many of his collegues.

Name

edit

Where does the name "Teo" come from? It appears to be nothing like Zhang (張). 115.64.142.162 (talk) 04:11, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sydney Morning Herald article by Kate McClymont article

edit

Kate McClymont has written an article about Charles Teo including his links to Mick Gatto. Most alarming is this statement "Within 24 hours of sending questions to his office, including one about the Arkansas sexual harassment case, the Herald was contacted by an associate of Mick Gatto, a veteran of Melbourne's underworld, expressing concerns on Dr Teo’s behalf. He had specific knowledge of certain questions Dr Teo had been sent" (https://www.smh.com.au/national/brilliant-adored-flawed-dr-charlie-teo-unmasked-20190904-p52nwi.html) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.234.206.72 (talk) 02:17, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Crash involving Comanchero bikie boss

edit

Is this noteworthy that Charlie Teo's daughter Nicola Teo has been charged with crash that has almost taken the life of former bikie boss of Comanchero group Jock Ross https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/charlie-teo-s-daughter-charged-over-crash-involving-former-bikie-boss-jock-ross-20190926-p52v2m.html 132.234.206.31 (talk) 06:51, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Phrase

edit

I think I understand what is meant by "does not consent his patients properly", but it seems clunky. Is this standard "medical speak" or should it be reworded ? Doug butler (talk) 07:29, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
