Some suggestions for improvement as the article is expanded:

  • Template:Infobox Scientist should be added
  • Photograph should be added from a source with a free license, if available
  • Dates for his positions held would be useful
  • Further division of the article into appropriate subheadings would be beneficial
  • Information on research should be expanded
  • References should be expanded and preferably converted to inline format
  • External links to useful online resources should be added if available

I am sorry but I don't know your protocol. I do know a great deal about the subject and I left a change which I hope would have been incorporated instead of being censored. I do find that rather worrying. In the July 24 1974 issue of Sports Illustrated an investigative reporter did an article on egg collectors, mainly British and how a British investigation led US Fish and Wildlife agents to Charles Sibley who was then fined $3000 in civil fines after a raid on his office uncovered material. This was a major scandal in ornithology at the time and also seemed to be a bit of an over reaction by USFWS although the article mentions that USFWS and Yale handled the matter in quite a civil fashion.

I am not sure why this was censored but I will take it that wikipedia should be viewed with caution on conservation and natural resource matters, or if it disagrees with the views of the Yale Corporation.

Thank you for your attention, assuming you had the attention span to read this far.
