Untitled edit

I have corrected and added some information to this article on Charles Laughlin. He does deserve is own entry as he is a very influential and prolific writer on the neurological basis of human sociality72.230.117.63

I have added some information on this man, including a source. I am currently trying to extend the scope to which Wikipedia deals with Transpersonal Studies, showing how disciplines other than transpersonal psychology fit into this category. Charles Laughlin is a big name in transpersonal anthropology, and I therefore felt that he justified his own article.ACEO 20:55, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Autobio tag edit

The article has recently been significantly re-written by Charles himself. While there are many entries in the "further reading" section, none of these are designated as sources for the text of the article. Thus, at this point, the article is an autobiography. If any of the above mentioned entries are sources for the content of the article, please cite them properly. --AbsolutDan (talk) 16:25, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't know if charles laghlin edited this page. But I am 72.230.117.63 and I am not he. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.230.138.94 (talkcontribs) 20:07, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Check out the history of the article: ([1]) and look for User:Charles D. Laughlin's edits. Call me crazy, but I think it's safe to assume that was him. --AbsolutDan (talk) 00:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Charlie Laughlin here. I did not originally write this article, and only stumbled across it while writing other stuff for the encyclopedia. I have no idea who wrote the thing in the first place, but it was a stub and needed fleshing out and correcting if it was to remain up. So I added stuff to it to make it more factual and read right. But I am not arguing that it should remain up. Delete it if you want to do that. It does not matter to me. But if it does remain up, I will make sure from time to time that it is accurate. As I am still alive, I have every right to make sure that what is said about me is true. Wouldn't you agree? Keep well fellow editors!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Charles D. Hi Charles - nope there's no reason that I see to delete the article at this time, our discussion above is only about the autobiography tag that exists at the top of the article. It's there only because the content added isn't cited. There's no problem with someone making corrections to articles about themselves, but it's best to cite others when adding material.
If any of the resources listed in the "further reading" section can be used as sources for the article's content, it should be converted to a proper citation (see WP:CITE) and moved to a "references" section. Cheers --AbsolutDan (talk) 03:32, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the clarification. I will think on how to do that. More to learn, more to learn! But this is sure a worthwhile project, this Wikipedia. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Charles D. Laughlin (talkcontribs) 03:36, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
I endevoured to follow your suggestions. Check it now and see if it follows protocol. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Charles D. Laughlin (talkcontribs) 17:16, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Looks good to me, thanks for taking care of that. I've removed the tag. Hope you decide to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Give me a shout on my talk page if you need any help. --AbsolutDan (talk) 17:50, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I shall reveal to Charles Laughlin that I created this page under my old username of ACEO (I am now ACEOREVIVED). I wanted to give the site on Transpersonal psychology a context by including reference to other transpersonal disciplines, and you, Charles, seemed the obvious person to exemplify transpersonal anthropology. Neurognosis edit

Biogenetic structuralism is now a redirect here, per AfD consensus (discussion). I propose merging the Neurognosis article here as well, since it's related to biogenetic structuralism. —PaleoNeonate – 03:36, 17 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Support There's basically nothing on this except Laughlin's own writing and a thin smattering of dubiously-reliable publications citing him, nothing near enough to support a stand-alone article. XOR'easter (talk) 17:51, 17 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
