Talk:Charles Frederick Field

Can anyone say what the basis is for the assertion that Field was the son of a Publican from Chelsea. After searching hard, I can find no basis for this, aside from unattributed comments on the internet.Bkesselman (talk) 18:21, 20 February 2014 (UTC) The best record which shows the possibility that Field may have been the son of a publican is that he might have been the son of a John Field of the Earl of Howard's Head in Chelsea. In which case he was born in 1803 rather than 1805. This can be found by searching baptismal records for 1803.Bkesselman (talk) 18:34, 13 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
