GA Review edit

Hi, I am reviewing this article for GA. I have made a few copy editing changes to the article, including adding some wikilinks to provide context for the reader not familiar with American history and giving the full name for references to make finding the reference in the Bibliography easier for the reader. I have tried to make sure that a term is wikilinked at the first mention in the article.

This is an interesting and well written article and I feel that it meets the criteria for GA.

GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): The writing is clear and concise   b (MoS): It follows the relevant MoS sections.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): Well referenced   b (citations to reliable sources): Sources are reliable   c (OR): No OR
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
a (major aspects): Covers the major areas of the subject's life   b (focused): Remains focused on the topic
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias: Neutral
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.: Stable
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail: Passes GA review

Congratulations!
