Custom TOC

Perhaps a custom TOC will help the formatting. Deckiller 03:28, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Removing the names, you mean? I'm not sure. The sections are reasonably large so there's utility in being able to jump straight to the desired character. Also, I kinda like floating TOCs anyway, where appropriate =) >Gamemaker 12:44, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
Well, you can do a floating manual TOC simply enough. My suggestion would be to create a manual TOC, simply to eliminate all of the subcategories in the "minor characters" section. In otherwords, something like this. The links don't actually work, but it gets the point across, I think. – Seancdaug 04:00, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Nice wikimongering! Implement immediately ;) >Gamemaker 12:28, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Images

I'm in the process of adding one image for each character, but just as a link so it does not clutter the page and it still caters to the FFX fanatics who want to see every detail. As requested on "pages that could be improved w/ Images" I'm also adding a couple of images at each "bald spot". Renmiri 14:28, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Renmiri

In light of the recent TOC updates, and given that there were 23(!) main images on this page (not counting the myriad micro-thumbnails), I've taken the opportunity to remove the 'shrine to Tidus' ;), which was introduced to fill whitespace in the old layout. >Gamemaker 23:42, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

I agree with the change. Deckiller 23:44, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
lol, I agree too, it was there just to cover a 'bald spot'. But what's wrong with a 'shrine to Tidus' ? (j/k, I know it's WP:NOT) Renmiri 04:43, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Races, Ethnic groups, mortals / Immortals

I added this paragraph because I think it helps readers visualize and understand each character better Renmiri 16:46, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Renmiri

Fahrenheit?

What's the source for referring to the airship as the "Fahrenheit"? In the English localization at least, it's only ever called the "airship". Fahrenheit is a reasonable name given FFX-2's airship is called the Celsius, but merely being "reasonable" does not justify it's inclusion in Wikipedia. 128.232.250.254 03:39, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Better double check with Ryu and his Ultimania guides then. Ryu is unbeatable at locating references! Renmiri 02:33, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Ren's informed me of the situation. Page 582 of the Final Fantasy X-2: International+Last Mission Ultimania identifies the ship as the "Fahrenheit," or "ファレンハイト" as it is in katakana. Ryu Kaze 03:18, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Told ya Ryu's the reference king Txs Ryu!...File:Grin.gif Renmiri 04:40, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Magus Sisters & Mythology

Since we do have a blurb for each aeon here I included a little about each Aeon's name in our ancient Mythology. I can't figure out one for the Magus sisters though...

Would the Magus Sisters be inspired in the "Mother", "maiden", "chrone" triad ? I don't think so... Another FF Fanatic I know thinks they are based on the 3 fairies of Disney's "Sleeping beauty" (which in turn were a bit based on the triad, though remotely.. Anyhow, if anyone knows... Biggs and Wedge

It is not mentioned on this site which roles Biggs and Wedge played in this FF. They are characters in most FF's so I think they deserve to be mentioned on this site!

They are blitzball players in FFX and X-2. Renmiri 04:04, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Yojimbo page

I see no reason to keep a stub, we have most of the information here. Redirected Renmiri 19:47, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Aeon images

The Ixion pic is missing half of his face (nevermind, it seems this is the only one we have - yuck! - I'll scan in a better one), and the Shiva pic is all blurry. Why were the good images removed ? Renmiri 17:49, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Chappu

Would it be possible to upload an image of Chappu. You see him in the far plane. It might also be mentioned that Wakka says Tidus looks like him, even though they seem to look nothing alike.

You could upload an image of him if you create an account. For some strange reason, both Lulu and Wakka think Tidus looks like Chappu. JarlaxleArtemis 03:30, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
We have one in the page already! Click on the little (img) link. There is one image for each character except for Cali (still have to get hers as a kid) Renmiri 04:03, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Calli and Zev Ronso

Do these two really need to be listed under Minor characters? I don't remember either of them having even a single line of spoken dialogue, although I could be wrong. Either way, they have little, if any, impact on the story or gameplay, and I can't think of a reason why they should be included in the list. Mathfreq 22:17, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Calli does have a dialogue with Yuna and that dialogue is very relevant to FFX-2 where a grown up Calli brings a major story event and even a minigame. Zev Ronso ? can't remember.. is he/she a blitz player ? We don't need to list every single blitz player. Although Biggs and Wedge might be worth mentioning since they are used in every FF game on the seriesRenmiri 00:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
You're right about Calli; she's definitely relevant in X-2. However, that's an argument in favor for including her in a list of X-2 characters, not X. I feel that her contribution to this game is so minor as to be insignificant, and because this is a list of characters from FF X, the fact that a character returns in a larger role in the sequel shouldn't influence that character's position on this list. Mathfreq 19:32, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Meh... I disagree with you on Calli. Players of FFX2 might come to this page just to see who the heck is Calli, particularly because she was not very memorable. I was one of those once. Having her name lacking here would be a detriment to our stated aim to inform and educate the reader. Renmiri 23:05, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

English Cast / Japanese Cast boxes

Someone went through the pain of putting one for every character here! A pity because it makes the page very hard to read. I suggest we at least merge the info or put it on the character's pictures, which are now coded as a non-intrusive link. Renmiri 23:19, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

We have them on the character pages themselves. We don't need them here. I'd say take 'em out. Sir Crazyswordsman 04:23, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
I don't find it very hard to read at all. I wouldn't mind seeing them stay as is. Yet, I would like to see the information at this article in one form or another. --Pinkkeith 15:11, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
They're there, in the infoboxes. Sir Crazyswordsman 14:37, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
