Talk:Characteristic X-ray

This is a strange entry. First, I wish the title was "Characteristic X-ray" not "Characteristic x-ray". I deprecate the use of the lower case in the name X-ray, since it is an abbreviation for Roentgen radiation, which should always be capitalised. Second, the reference is a secondary textbook. There are surely much better ones? Third, and most importantly, (sort of) characteristic X-rays can also be emitted as the atom relaxes after an EC nuclear process (which is the context in which I wished to link to this page!). Should this page be merged with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-ray_fluorescence ? 132.181.231.142 (talk) 04:58, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
