  • Review is coming: I never heard of her but I am going to review it because I listened to that Pink Pony club song just now. Also ping me when you get a QPQ done. Bruxton (talk) 01:08, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited:
  • Interesting:
QPQ: Done.

Overall:   Waiting on a QPQ. Article has 3600+ characters and it was just over 572 characters until the 26th of December - so it is 5x expanded. Earwigs calls out some direct quotes, but they are not copyright violations, they are properly referenced. The references support the claims. In the claim about being discovered in "11th grade" the actual reference says she was a "junior" in HS when discovered - and it is the same thing, but I think it may make a better hook to say junior? But I am not married to the idea. There are 7 separate claims which are referenced to the "Vulture" reference, so perhaps we should check for references that present more diversity of references. The neutrality is a question. It is flowery and gushing, - like this kid is a rising star and she is going places! I saw a sentences about her "imminent popularity" (I removed it). I saw an ambiguous statement about her song appearing in summer 2020, the reference actually said April 2020, so I changed it to read April 2020. There is no picture but we do not need one. I think it is a more interesting hook to mention she was discovered from a youtube video. I will present an ATL here but I can live with ATL0 also.

ATL1 ...that singer Chappell Roan was a junior in high school when she was discovered on YouTube? Bruxton (talk) 02:26, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
    • QPQ added, Bruxton! Thanks for the review. It's a good song, isn't it? ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 05:54, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ready for DYK. Yes the song is wistful and somber, and then somewhat hopeful. Her voice is very pleasing. Bruxton (talk) 14:53, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Modified ALT1 to T:DYK/P4

I believe there needs to be additional research regarding their birthday/ personal information regarding this individual without tiktok as a referenced source of information disinformation can cause problems to the artist and possibly others without steargarded information in place that is accurate //you might be placing this person in some hot water for something that is not accurate. 72.68.117.233 (talk) 17:13, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Chapppell's Drag Queen Style edit

Hello, I am new to Wikipedia editing however after reading through this page I think it's important to note Chappell's style of performing and where that stems from which is Drag Race. Rachelscriver (talk) 21:44, 22 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Rachelscriver, to the extent that you can find sources that have discussed Chappell's performing style and have directly linked it to drag, we can definitely include that. Alyo (chat·edits) 00:37, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Queer vs. lesbian edit

Hey all, have been seeing some commentary on Reddit and other sites about edits citing Chappell self-identifying as a lesbian frequently being reversed. Is this due to inadequate citations or something else? I think if she's using a more accurate label it makes more sense to use that. TariffedSparrow (talk) 01:14, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I also saw that post. I think the best source for "lesbian" would be this TIME interview, at around the 2:40 mark. https://time.com/6836626/chappell-roan-interview-guts-tour-olivia-rodrigo/ Mateussf (talk) 03:47, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
