What Other Name? edit

Under "Spelling", second paragraph: "in his 1992 paper on the subject, also emended the name to the "correct" spelling of Chaoyangsaurus (note the extra letter "o")." ...Extra compared to what? I see only one name presented anywhere in the article, spelled just as shown here. If you're going to reference another name like this, it should be shown. ...Looking through the history, I find previous versions showing the names "Chaoyoungosaurus", and "Chaoyangosaurus". It seems the three spellings were originally displayed, and the difference discussed. Then someone came along and changed all the spellings to the same, making the whole discussion incomprehensible. Why would someone do this? Perhaps someone actually familiar with the subject could repair the damage?

It was an act of vandalism, now repaired by user Hiroizmeh --MWAK (talk) 11:14, 30 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
