I'm not familiar with the calibre of the sources. If reputable, in my opinion that justifies a small section in the city article. If they are more like advertising media masquerading as news, that would suggest the citations are weak and the film city article should simply be deleted. Unaware of any such development of Chandigarh Film City

Proposal if suggested should be rejected. No doubt, the Punjabi film & music industry is seeming to be a booming business in the tricity area, there has been no noticeable development of the idea of Chandigarh Film City. There seems to be no or maybe minor mentions as such of the same in print or digital media. As suggested by The Montreal IP, this could be a gimmick undertaken by real estate developers. There is no film city and even if there were it has nothing to do with Chandigarh as a city.

Oppose merge for now, on the grounds that the on-again off-again saga, over more that 13 years, is independently notable. Also, news in December 2019 (I've just updated the page) suggests that there renewed attempts to resurrect the project. Klbrain (talk) 14:36, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
