Rajput Clans

Yeah you are true but there are other chandela's too, like Jat chandela,Chandela who are not Rajputs in UP,Bihar and MP.Frther the rulers we are talking about never called themselves Rajput. HW  08:29, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

May be there are other Chandels but this article is not about those people. If you are so concerned about it then put the link in ambiguous and thats about it. This article is about "Chandels" who built Khajuraho and they were definitely Rajputs. They were my forefathers and I can not let them be dishonored like that. Rajputs by definitions are "sons of rulers" and please bring forth the evidence which proves that they did not consider them "Rajputs". Otherwise stop vandalizing. Thank god you can't vandalize the Encyclopedia Britannica. Read on if you can afford it.

Thanks a lot and Congratulations to you.But don't you think many of your utterance are not required.Plz don't assume I wanted to vandalise the page . Anyway having made your point I can understand your concerns. Ikon |no-blast 11:45, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

---It is interesting to see views on whether Chandels (Chandelas) were Rajputs or not! Hey, I can tell you for sure that the Chandels (Chandelas) were Rajputs as I too am a Chandel and am a Rajput (sorry, no casteism here) and am one of the proud bearers of the legacy of the Chandel (Chandela) dynasty which built the world famous Khajuraho temple! ---- Anju Chandel

Article Length edit

This needs to be split up into sections, or have some of the less (not) notable content removed. I know nothing about it, so I'm afraid I can't help too much – the length makes it a daunting task alex.muller (talkedits) 19:33, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Chandelas of Jejakabhukti edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Chandelas of Jejakabhukti's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Britannica":

  • From Sher Shah Suri: "Shēr Shah of Sūr". Encyclopædia Britannica. Retrieved 23 August 2010.
  • From Hindustani language: Encyclopædia Britannica, "Timurid Dynasty", Online Academic Edition, 2007. (Quotation: "Turkic dynasty descended from the conqueror Timur (Tamerlane), renowned for its brilliant revival of artistic and intellectual life in Iran and Central Asia. ... Trading and artistic communities were brought into the capital city of Herat, where a library was founded, and the capital became the centre of a renewed and artistically brilliant Persian culture.")

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:09, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
