About 50 years ago, when I was a member of the American Youth Hostels (AYH), I stayed overnight here when I lived in Philadelphia. Membership gave me a membership card, card holder, and a thin nylon sleeping bag to protect the mattress. I believe there was also a $2 fee per night. I slept here as part of a self-planned bicycle tour to the west of Philadelphia during which I stayed each night at a different Youth Hostel.
