Possible removal from list edit

An entry in List of colors: A–F contained a link to this page.

The entry is :

Chamoisee

I don't see any evidence that this color is discussed in this article and plan to delete it from the list per this discussion: Talk:List_of_colors#New_approach_to_review_of_entries

If someone decides that this color should have a section in this article and it is added, I would appreciate a ping.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:07, 12 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sphilbrick, chamoisée (NB spelling) is the French for "chamois-coloured", as gämsfarbige is the German and camosciata is the Italian – all are used to describe (rather inaccurately!) the colouring of this goat as similar to that of the wild chamois. Whether the word is in that list or not makes no perceptible difference here. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:38, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Justlettersandnumbers,Thanks for responding. I've posted a few dozen of these comments on a number of talk pages and you are one of the few to respond. I'm happy to accept that there may be a real color with this spelling. However, I believe we have a rough consensus at the list of colors articles, that entries in the list article need to be linked to a page which includes a discussion of the name of the color as well as specification of the color attributes. Perhaps someone will be inspired by this conversation to add that to this article, but until such time, I plan to remove it from the list. Thanks again for the feedback.--S Philbrick(Talk) 13:24, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
