Hi there, Chamilo is a software currently used by (at least) 230,000 users around the world (see http://version.chamilo.org/community.php and the stats collecting procedure described at the end to get an idea) and by at least 25 multi-thousand students universities, with a current growth rate of 1000 users per week. It has been under massive development (see http://www.ohloh.net/p/chamilo for stats) and started as a fork of another big e-learning software called Dokeos, with the whole community moving out, so I'm having a hard time finding out how it is not relevant or notable. We also have one single campus where more than 38000 teachers and students share free and open courses. It is true that, so far, the software hasn't had any publication in major press websites, but it's also less than one year old (and its history is not unlike the OpenOffice.org <-> LibreOffice story). I am definitely wanting to do what it takes to demonstrate the notability of this software project, but I am upset not to receive any alert e-mail when somebody is putting the article under scrutiny (is that normal?). It has taken a long time collecting the information and I will continue updating the page. Please help me doing the right thing for the majority. Ywarnier (talk) 22:15, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removed the deletion proposal after adding more information and links. If you think it is still lacking notability, please go into the details (how many referrals should it have to be considered notable?). Thanks for your dedication to making a better Wikipedia!
