Is Chamaesyce a genus? edit

The opening paragraph says Chamaesyce is a genus, but then the paragraph continues with "Specifically, this group now belongs to Euphorbia subgenus Chamaesyce section Anisophyllum". Based on that it sounds like Chamaesyce is a subgenus. But then the paragraph ends with "Taxonomically speaking, Chamaesyce is considered a synonym of Euphorbia". By, what seems to be accepted taxonomy, Chamamaesyce is a subgenus of Euphorbia and under current classification ideas for Euphorbia, Chamamaesyce is not a synonym of Euphorbia.
