Loss of sail arms in 2016

edit

Chalton windmill seems to have lost its sail arms, maybe as a result of storm Katie at Easter. (I only noticed on 31 March.) Unfortunately I couldn't find any authoritative source, beyond saying that I can see it out of my lounge window! Can anyone help? --Wally Tharg (talk) 08:10, 2 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Have just had a closer look, and the arms appear to have been taken down intentionally, so probably not storm damage. --Wally Tharg (talk) 09:03, 6 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
False alarm ... the sail arms have just been restored in the last few days, so presumably routine maintenance. --Wally Tharg (talk) 17:52, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
I remember my father restoring the mill. Lots of interesting finds for me! 2A01:CB19:8E12:E000:DAE:5344:B2DD:84FC (talk) 17:49, 30 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
