"Legend also has it that a petrified colorful cloth from Nikbanou was also visible in the rocks although pilgrims have since taken this."

The petrefied cloth was just a geologic anomoly which acquired that legend, as is wont to happen around the world. So have the pilgrims taken the whole fissure or just the rocks/minerals which gave it that color?! The way it is now gives the impression of a literal small petrified cloth I think.

Also interesting is that this might have once been a site associated with Anahita due to the spring, and the veneration of water - second only to fire in the religion. And the legend of the girl has echoes of Anahita herself. Though that last sentence was just me spontaneously jotting down a thought, I have no other reason to believe that at this time.
