Name spelling
editIs it Chairman (with an A, as the page is currently written) or Chairmen (with an E)? Ewlyahoocom 16:56, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
They are plural
editThe Guinness Book of Hit Singles call the group "Chairmen of the Board", and lists their 1971 single's title as "Chairman of the Board". The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Black Music lists them as "Chairmen of the Board" I also have three CDs and some vinyl LPs, all listing them as "Chairmen of the Board", so I think it is fairly conclusive. Looks like tidy up time! Moleskin 11:10, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Band name is Frank Sinatra reference?
editWere they inspired by Frank Sinatra's use of the term as his nickname? Stonemason89 (talk) 03:58, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- There isn't any way to verify whether their name was taken from Sinatra or H-D-H were emulating Motown's penchant for picking names which inferred success such as The Four Tops; The Miracles; The SUpremes, et el? They only had two hit singles, first and foremost, GIve Me Just A Little More Time" and "Pay To The Piper." Nothing else ever mattered: they were gone just as quickly as they arrived. The same fate with Honey Cone. 68.196.134.248 (talk) 20:22, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
